V-Convention paves Penang as a top incentive and tourism destination

The largest convention in Penang with the theme ‘BE THE CHANGE’ that took place at Setia SPICE Convention Centre from 7 October till 11 October concluded successfully.

The objective of V Global’s V-Convention Malaysia was two-fold: to inspire attendees to take action that would enhance their own lives and the lives of others, and to honour the pioneering spirit of entrepreneurs globally.

Penang has established itself as a leading and prominent tourism and incentive destination in the Asia Pacific region, elevating the state to a renowned location globally. This is an excellent opportunity to further develop the tourism industry within the state as it was essential to provide participants with unfiltered experiences during their time in Penang.

“Ensuring interoperability must beat the heart of all planning between public and private sectors for both local and international travel. Through the Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), I took the initiative and launched the ‘PenangVirtual Tour Series’. It is a 10-episode video series that showcases the hidden gems of Penang. I would like to encourage the delegates here to check it out and have a better understanding of what we can offer for a fun and distinctive experience,” quoted Yeoh Soon Hin, the Penang State Exco for Tourism & Creative Economy during the opening ceremony on 7th October that took place at SPICE Arena.

The V-Convention demonstrated an industry-ready Penang which hosted over 13,000 delegates from 50 countries over 5 days. The convention covered a series of motivational speeches, product, and services training, a trade exhibition as well as a corporate conference which all took place simultaneously. In all these thrilling series of content, Penang continues to gain recognition as a prominent and preferred business events destination.
