Two special programme items sponsored by Speakers Excellence, Europe’s largest speaker agency, will be hosted:

INTERVIEW DISCUSSION with Georg Kofler on the DIGITAL STAGE

Georg Kofler, a passionate entrepreneur and expert in communications, marketing and e-commerce, knows what it means to take entrepreneurial success into your own hands from the ground up. His career began at the Austrian public service broadcaster ORF. In 1989 Kofler started the private-sector TV station ProSieben, which he grew into ProSieben Media AG and floated on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as CEO. At the same time, Kofler introduced teleshopping to the German market for the first time with the channel H.O.T., now HSE24. He was then CEO and shareholder of H.O.T. Networks AG which developed teleshopping throughout Europe. In 2002 Kofler took over the management of the pay-TV company Premiere which was on the verge of insolvency. Kofler restructured Premiere and took the company public.

In 2007, he left the TV industry and invested in a variety of businesses. Since 2017 he has been the supervisory board chairman and main shareholder of The Social Chain AG, an international-scale social commerce operator. He is also known to the general public as a panellist and investor on the popular TV show ‘Die Höhle der Löwen’, the German equivalent of The Dragons’ Den. In an interview discussion on the DIGITAL STAGE, Kofler explains why he regards entrepreneurship as so much more than a business activity and why founding a business is a decision to lead a self-determined life, an act of courageous, creative work and, above all, a social achievement.
The interview discussion will be conducted by Aljoscha Höhn, one of Germany’s most sought-after event hosts.

Keynote talk by Isabel Grupp on the MICE STAGE

Isabel Grupp will open Day 2 of the MICE Forum with a keynote talk entitled ‘New Leadership – Leading by Example & Emotion’. After completing her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Management and a master’s degree in International Business Development, she joined her parents’ company Plastro Mayer in 2011, where she has been a member of the board of directors since 2015. In the male-dominated plastics industry, Isabel Grupp is considered one of the few women in leadership positions in a STEM business.

In her keynote talk, Grupp will answer the questions: Looking ahead, what is set to characterise a successful entrepreneur? How do you become aware of the all-around responsibility you have towards your employees? How can you unleash the best and happiest people your employees can be? And how do you combine experience in the company with the new dynamism of the younger generation and thus make the company grow?
