The capital of Slovakia invites visitors to embark on an unforgettable evening of wine tasting. The complete darkness throughout the tasting awakens all senses. Attendees will enjoy all the mouthwatering flavours and fragrances in an incredibly intense way.

In the pleasant atmosphere of the vaulted cellar, the only one visitors can see is the sommelier – their guide through the experience. The tastings result in a sensory perception and a pleasant atmosphere. That is why it is possible to experience the tasting in a different light than in other wine cellars. In addition, the programme focuses on offering a hand-picked selection of Slovakian wines, thus giving prominence to artisan, boutique and lesser-known Slovak wineries that prioritise quality over quantity.

Tibor Kiss, the sommelier behind the experience, explained: “I believe that all guests at our tastings will discover that it is not magic or ability of just a few gifted people to feel so many smells and tastes in wine. I also believe that they will leave with a smile and enthusiasm.”

The organisers of the wine tastings ensure that guests leave with a smile and unforgettable memories. The wine tastings in the dark take place in the heart of Bratislava, in a venue suitable for private and corporate events.

Supporting local wineries

Only 60% of wine consumption in Slovakia is supported by Slovak wines. The rest of the wines are imported from abroad. The organisers of the wine tastings thus aim to increase the demand for Slovak wines and help wine growers develop. Hence, attendees mainly taste wines from smaller winemakers.
