NEW ART GALLERY IN LJUBLJANA
The Bažato Gallery recently opened its doors in Ljubljana, thus enriching cultural life in the region. The building, dating to the sixties, was extensively renovated under the watchful eye of the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia. Its original architect was Savin Sever, one of the most renowned architects of Slovenian post-war architecture.
With a new lease on life, the building, home to the new Bažato Gallery, showcases works of artists through their creative process, presenting them as authors and displaying their personal perception of the world. The gallery strives to become the centre of contemporary artistic practices by presenting inspiring domestic and foreign artists with a well-thought-out and ambitious program.
At the same time, the unique venue aims to establish bridges between artists, professionals, collectors and lovers of art. Meeting planners can book Bažato Gallery for events and exhibitions.
