International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, is proud to announce it has been recognised as the exhibition and event industry’s highest achiever across three categories at the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s (EEAA) annual Awards for Excellence.
The venue’s corporate social responsibility leadership and implementation of its effective Waste Management Plan won the Sustainability Initiative of the year.

Jimmy Kadwa, Senior Manager, Event Operations at ICC Sydney was celebrated as the Unsung Hero for his outstanding contribution to the exhibition and events community for over 20 years.
Jack Weatherby-Fell, ICC Sydney’s Senior Event Manager was awarded the Richard Geddes Young Achiever Award for his exceptional ability to deliver high-impact, complex events.

Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia CEO, Domenic Genua congratulated Geoff and the entire ICC Sydney team on the raft of accolades.
“My great appreciation goes to ICC Sydney for their partnership with the EEAA, enabling the Association to deliver this series of industry events. The facilities are truly exceptional, featuring the highest quality culinary service, cutting edge technology, expert technical production and event delivery team who delivered outstanding care and professionalism throughout the planning and execution of these important events,” Genua said.
Named as a finalist in the Best Venue team category, ICC Sydney was lauded for its leadership, communication and steady navigation through one of the most challenging periods in the industry’s history to return to deliver large-scale in-person events.

ICC Sydney hosted the national industry awards which celebrate the exceptional work of organisers, association organisers, venues and suppliers in the exhibition and events industry.
Delivered with the support of ICC Sydney’s event management professionals, the complete event program also featured the Emerging Leaders workshops, EEAA Conference, EEAA Special General Meeting and EEAA Board of Directors meetings held from 6 to 8 December 2022.
