Two fam trips in one week

Prague Convention Bureau welcomed two familiarization events from 21 to 28 November. The first one was a press trip for European journalists, which was attended by a total of 5 representatives of B2B media focusing on the meetings industry. The press trip took place from Monday 21 November to Wednesday 23 November, and on Wednesday it was followed by a fam trip organized in cooperation with the Czech Convention Bureau, the CzechTourism agency and its foreign representation in Brazil for a total of 8 buyers.

The press trip, which was set in the almost-advent atmosphere, presented recently opened or refurbished facilities, new services or activities on the Prague MICE scene to the journalists. The press trip visited new or renovated hotels and meeting capacities, tasted local gastronomy and learned about the tradition of beer production in the Strahov brewery. As part of the incentive programs, they learned about the rich history of Prague during a tour of the Strahov Monastery and saw works of contemporary Czech and international artists. The press trip was attended by the following media: CONFERENCE & MEETING WORLD – CMW (Great Britain), EVENT POINT (Portugal), QUALITYTRAVEL (Italy), THINK MICE (Poland), TRAVEL DAILY NEWS INTERNATIONAL (International). The Journalists also had the opportunity to use the brand new Prague Visitor Pass, which was provided thanks to cooperation with the Prague City Tourism.

At the same time, on Tuesday, 22 November, Brazilian buyers arrived in Prague for a fam trip, which lasted until Monday, 28 November. The Czech capital welcomed a total of 8 Brazilian buyers, accompanied by a representative of the foreign representation of the CzechTourism agency, a representative of the Lufthansa airline and a representative of the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Sao Paulo.

The fam trip included demonstrations of incentive programs in the form of a private tour of the Strahov Library, the Estates Theater, a guided tour of the historical centre and a ride in vintage cars. The participants also conducted individual meetings, visited hotels and other capacities, and at the workshop, met other representatives of Prague accommodation facilities, DMC companies and conference venues. The workshop took place on Friday, 25 November, and the following weekend included a trip to the region, specifically to Karlovy Vary and Pilsen.
