Between 19 and 21 April 2023, professionals from the public safety field met at the EENA Conference & Exhibition in Ljubljana for three days of inspiring sessions, insightful presentations and innovative exhibitions. Most participants were emergency services professionals, researchers, solution providers, mobile network operators and EU institutions representatives.

With over 700 participants and 41 sponsors and exhibitors, the EENA Conference & Exhibition is the place to learn, network, discover new technologies and enjoy valuable time with experts from across the industry. Participants have options to actively contribute diverse informative and insightful sessions on a variety of topics impacting the sector, from emergency service staff to solutions providers.

Returning to Cankarjev dom after five years

After five years, the EENA conference returned to Ljubljana. Cankarjev dom once again proved to be a perfect venue for the conferences, where the organisers require large meeting rooms and vast exhibition space. In the case of EENA, the exhibition was divided into two foyers, enabling all exhibitors to network with participants. Sessions were held in Gallus, Linhart, Kosovel and Štih Halls, while the networking breaks took place in the Foyers and the outdoor Europe Park.

Improving the safety and security of people

The programme covered different topics, from trends in the public safety field, EU legislation updates, retaining staff, and the well-being of call-takers to real-life examples of new technology in use. One of the highlights was the 112 Awards Ceremony which rewards outstanding individuals and organisations mainly engaged in improving public safety across Europe. The 112 Awards Ceremony celebrates modern-day heroes. From incredible rescues and inspirational acts by citizens and emergency services to public safety innovations and the use of technology for good, they reward those going beyond the expected to help people in danger.
