Tourism New Zealand invites IMEX tradeshow guests to engage in kōrero (conversation) and enjoy kai (food).

Tourism New Zealand General Manager NZ & Business Events Bjoern Spreitzer says: “We are bringing a genuine flavour of the uniquely Kiwi welcome, manaakitanga, and the notion that a stranger can soon become a friend after a conversation and sharing food and drink; something that is entirely relevant to us and our stand partners as we come to Europe to do business.”

Visitors to the stand will be able to meet New Zealand partners from Business Events Wellington, as the capital city celebrates the opening of its brand-new convention centre, Tākina; the new Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre; and Auckland’s New Zealand International Convention Centre (NZICC), due to open in 2025.

Also on stand will be Destination Queenstown, and event management company Arinex Pty Ltd. The New Zealand stand is signed up to the IMEX Frankfurt People & Planet Pledge, with steps taken to reuse, recycle, and to reduce its trade show carbon footprint.

Initiatives include offsetting the carbon emissions for international flights for every New Zealand partner on the stand.

The stand construction has been designed utilising existing wall frames, truss & rigging, furniture, flooring, and equipment from hired, reusable stock; graphic fabrics & substrates selected to be reused, then repurposed at end of life; and the use of a large LED digital video wall, replacing the need for creating oversize printed graphic panels.

Spreitzer says: “This stand feels more aligned with how New Zealand represents itself on the world stage. We can’t wait to welcome people to it at IMEX.”

New Zealand is situated at IMEX on STAND B320, Hall 8.
