Beer for your grandchildren

Amid an era of extreme weather and record-high temperatures, Scottish craft beer maker BrewDog has launched an advertising campaign to promote sustainability. Co-founder and CEO James Watt noted that BrewDog wants to make the world a better place and therefore fight deforestation and climate change.

Watt stressed that climate change poses a major threat to humanity and that the time to act is now. Individuals can also do this by supporting the beer brand BrewDog. According to Watt, it is the first official brand of beer to remove more carbon dioxide from the air yearly than it produces.

In the Scottish Highlands, the company has purchased more than 3700 hectares of land. The company is currently in the middle of a project to restore ancient forests and protect and restore peatlands, which are extremely important for storing carbon dioxide.

Adrian Klie from BrewDog will talk about the sustainable aspect of BrewDog’s production at this year’s Conventa Crossover festival. His current position as the German CEO of the world’s most innovative, inspiring and first carbon-negative brewery is a dream come true. His professional path led him from his home town’s small brewery Allersheimer to ABInBev and Mars Petcare, focusing on business transformations for products that create great moments and happiness.

The ad illustrates a children’s drawing of a burning Earth with a crayon that says “Drink it for me” and next to a bottle of beer is the slogan “Beer for Your Grandchildren”.
