Between 18 and 20 August 2023, the Lovestream Festival encaptivated visitors with three days of great concerts and world-class shows in Bratislava. The festival came to a pompous close on Sunday with one of the most sought-after bands in the world, Imagine Dragons.

The festival took place at a new venue this year, Vajnory, where visitors could enjoy in many extra activities and several stages. Lovestream Festival 2023 hosted almost 100,000 music fans, who revelled in seven theme zones.

Bratislava transforming into a festival destination

Each festival day offered visitors an excellent music experience with Slovakian and foreign musicians. On Saturday, the audience could listen to Hardwell, joined by The Killers and Martin Garrix. The festival-goers could also enjoy Jason Derulo‘s spectacular show. The main stage with a roof was the largest ever in Slovakia. It took 4 days to build and involved 29 team members and 80 others to construct it. 14 trucks had to bring the stage’s structure.

The owner and founder of Lovestream Festival, Silvia Nemčovičová, commented on the festival: “We were in no hurry to announce the lineup because our priority was to put together a programme for our fans that they have never experienced before in Slovakia. I am convinced that we brought the best to Slovakia, and I believe our fans appreciated it.”

Environment-friendly festival

In addition to festival fun, the organisers also thought about the environment. Plastic bottles and cans were banned. The festival contributed to a better ecology in Slovakia.

The festival attracted thousands of music fans, solidifying the status of the city as a festival destination. Furthermore, the event fostered positive multiplicative effects for Bratislava’s tourism.
