Located in the historic Noblessner shipyard complex, the PROTO Invention Factory will begin providing an innovative virtual reality dining experience starting in the autumn, blending good food with an exciting virtual reality experience.
“Mystical Estonian Flavors” is an innovative experience for all senses. Come and journey through Estonian landscapes – wander in the deep forest, get lost in the bog, stroll in the farmyard, and if luck is on your side, you might even stumble upon a mythical creature called “kratt.” Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised by scents and flavours, but don’t worry – even if the pot of sensory confusion boils over, you will unexpectedly find yourself safely at your table. Or will you?
During the dinner, every diner will be served a specially crafted 4-course chef’s menu that draws inspiration from Estonian flavours and cuisine. Each mouthful is a mosaic of local and seasonal ingredients, prepared with love and delicately arranged on the plate to create harmony for both the eyes and the palate. The PROTO chef excels at combining various techniques and arts throughout the course of the dinner to bring out the best qualities of each ingredient, ensuring that the ensemble of fresh and local flavours leaves a lasting impression.
Seamlessly weaving together dinner and virtual reality
For those interested, there’s an option to order a palette of flavours consisting solely of vegetarian dishes. During the meal, guests are kindly asked to remove their virtual reality glasses. Playful experiences take place between courses and last for up to 3 minutes each. The experience, seamlessly weaving together dinner and virtual reality, unfolds simultaneously for the entire group and lasts a total of 2 hours.
The start time of the virtual reality dinner is 19:00 and it can be ordered in Estonian, English, and Finnish. The experience can be enjoyed by groups of 24 to 40 diners. The price per person for the dinner is 99 euros, and with the drink menu, an additional 45 EUR per person.
