Bratislava-based Creative Pro Group named best regional event agency

The agency won first place for best event agency at the Conventa Best Event Award 2023

Best regional event agency

One of Europe’s most esteemed competitions for the best events and event agencies in the meetings industry, the Conventa Best Event Award, honoured Slovakian Creative Pro Group as the best regional event agency. Their projects, IBM Destination Apollo and Odpadnesh convinced the jury, who recognised the projects’ innovative approach and sustainable aspirations.

The best events in 2023 were announced at a gala award ceremony at Ljubljana Castle. A distinguished 20-member international expert jury, led by Jury President Ivo, J. Franschitz, selected the winning projects in four categories. In addition, the jury announced five winners in special categories. This year, 37 projects from leading regional event agencies competed for the coveted awards.

IBM Destination Apollo

Creative Pro Group’s project IBM Destination Apollo secured the Bratislava-based agency the award for the best event agency. The project aimed to relocate 3,500 employees from various offices into one new prestigious building called Apollo Nivy. Creative Pro Group combined elements of Apollo in their communication, and thus employees experienced the atmosphere of Apollo throughout the three-month campaign.

Odpadnesh - best Crossover event

Another project from Creative Pro Group’s Košice outpost won the Best Crossover Event award. Odadnesh, a sustainably-oriented project, convinced the international jury with its societal aspect and regenerative approach. The project aimed to create an impactful CSR programme that covers several issues in society.

Conventa Best Event Award has established itself as a showroom of the best events from the Baltics to the Balkans. The expert jury selected the finalists based on strict evaluation criteria. The three-stage evaluation takes place according to a unique 80/20 model (the expert jury contributes 80% of the votes, while the audience at Conventa Crossover contributes 20%). The organisers emphasised that they are the only competition that evaluates works this way.

Gorazd Čad, the project founder, emphasised: “The best event award competition is a compass heralding the direction of the meetings industry. It shows which projects are game-changers and why. In addition, it showcases the most creative, original and relevant events. Furthermore, best event award competitions help event organisers compare themselves to the competition, uncovering which event agencies can host the most demanding projects.”
