The biennial gathering of Australia’s pre-eminent philanthropic organisations will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre between 5 and 7 August 2024. It is expected to attract more than 700 delegates, and speakers from around the world.
Philanthropy Australia’s 2024 conference will be its first held outside Melbourne or Sydney. Business Events Adelaide Chief Executive Officer, Mr Damien Kitto, said that this was further evidence that Adelaide was gaining momentum as a destination for business events. “This win demonstrates that Adelaide is in demand for business event organisers,” he said. “Our flexible, Team Adelaide approach means we are able to tailor a solution that suits every need, and encourages high-profile organisations such as Philanthropy Australia to come to Adelaide.”
Mr Kitto acknowledged the support of the South Australian Government in securing this business event. “We are pleased that the Malinauskas Government recognises the value of business events to the state’s economic prosperity, not only in the short term but also in regard to their economic tail. We hope that the local philanthropy community can forge relationships that extend the value of this business event into the future,” Mr Kitto added.
