ONE OF THE OLDEST CASTLES IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC

Vildštejn Castle was built in the town of Skalná, near Františkovy Lázně. As one of the few in the region, Vildštejn Castle is open all year round. Throughout the year, guests can visit the Hodovna Restaurant and the castle museum or stay in their superb rooms. Vildštejn Castle is protected as a cultural monument. Over time, the castle changed hands several times and was expanded and renovated.

Vildštejn Castle is the oldest castle in the Czech Republic still in operation. The castle was first mentioned in the middle of the 12th century. Meeting planners particularly appreciate the venue’s authentic accommodation and excellent medieval cuisine. In the medieval banquet hall, attendees can enjoy baroque ornaments adorning the walls and wooden tables whilst indulging in a true feast. The hall can accommodate up to 50 attendees.

Medieval restaurant Hodovna

Guests are enchanted by the traditional medieval atmosphere as soon as they step foot inside the restaurant Hodovna. There, the chefs prepare a feast that includes traditional Czech dishes.

One of the castle’s specialities is the castle shop, offering locally-produced, high-quality products. Wine lovers will cherish the expansive selection of Czech, Moravian and foreign wines.
