STARGAZING EVENTS
The Astronomical Centre Rijeka houses the only digital planetarium of its kind in the region. The venue includes an observatory, a small and large hall and additional facilities. With cutting-edge technology, the planetarium displays a simulated picture of the universe. The venue had been used as a military fortress during World War II and was adapted afterwards.
Cutting-edge technology for stargazing the sky over Rijeka
The digital planetarium in Rijeka is the only one of its kind in Croatia and the wider region. Shaped as an amphitheatre, it provides 50 seats. Once comfortably seated, visitors can enjoy projections of the skyline and celestial objects or watch films on astrology and the underwater world.
Cutting-edge digital projectors, special computer installations and quality sound systems ensure attendees have a memorable experience. The Astronomical Centre Rijeka boasts a conference hall ideal for meetings, conferences and presentations for approximately 60 participants, while its meeting room is perfect for boutique lectures and workshops. Stretching over 545 m2, the venue includes a digital planetarium, an observatory, a small and large hall, a multimedia workshop, and a panoramic terrace.
