Federcongressi&eventi, the Italian conference and events industry association, has confirmed Gabriella Gentile as president.
The President was elected during the association’s 15th National Convention, which was held from 23 to 24 February in Rome and attended by over 300 conference tourism professionals. Gabriella Gentile has all-round expertise in the conference and events sector and is a founding partner of Meeting Consultants, a consultancy company for the development of the MICE business. Since 2006, she has been an adjunct professor on the Language, Society and Communication degree course at the University of Bologna, teaching “Management of Cultural Events”.
“I would like to thank all members for the trust they have placed in me. The two years of my first mandate have seen the association support the post-COVID recovery of the national meetings industry and consolidate its role as a key partner with institutions and stakeholders in identifying strategies to support conference tourism. I am sure that, with the continued proactive support of its members and Executive Board, Federcongressi&eventi will be able to continue to grow and support companies in facing and overcoming new challenges,” commented Gabriella Gentile.
“We will continue to work hard, with pragmatism and determination, and will never tire of taking new paths, of having the courage to change by interpreting the times we live in, of developing new projects, of putting forward new ideas and proposals to the government and institutions, in order to develop and continue to grow the whole sector, as well as the individual companies that represent it.”
Federcongressi&eventi’s 20th anniversary convention
The 15th Federcongressi&eventi Convention was a special occasion because it marked the association’s 20th anniversary. It was driven by the passion shown by all members for their profession and the desire to contribute together to the sector’s growth.
