Q3: As one of the leading experts in the industry, what are your thoughts on the ChatGPT craze? Is this another marketing hype or an actual tool that will make boring, routine jobs a lot easier?

The ChatGPT craze represents a significant shift in how we perceive and utilize artificial intelligence in various industries, including hospitality. While some may see it as mere marketing hype, it’s essential to recognize that luxury never compromises personalized service and connection. Looking ahead, this could solidify a niche within luxury services where personalization and genuine connections remain paramount. In the future, as technology continues to evolve, maintaining the human touch in luxury services will distinguish establishments and uphold the essence of true hospitality.

Q4: What skills should a 21st-century hotelier possess?

In addition to traditional hospitality skills like communication and customer service, a modern hotelier must prioritize personal connections and guest-centricity. While tech-savviness and adaptability are important, understanding the value of human interaction in the guest experience is crucial. Cultivating a welcoming environment, being culturally sensitive, and promoting sustainability further enhance guest satisfaction. Strong leadership and problem-solving skills are essential for implementing these principles effectively.

Additionally, fostering community engagement and social responsibility initiatives can contribute to a more equitable and inclusive world for all.

Q6: What is your definition of true hospitality?
