Helsinki’s reputation for holding successful congresses, as well as its commitment to sustainability and green spaces, made it a natural choice for Europe Congress’s third MICE event of 2024. Ines Antti-Poika, Head of Business Events at Finland Convention Bureau, a main partner for the event, explains in detail:
“Finland has ranked among the top 20 most popular congress destinations for many years in a row. We offer responsible business events produced in safe conditions in a country with a lot of room to roam, spacious and functional facilities, and nature that is easily accessible. Our team’s diligent planning and Finland’s reputation for hosting world-class events combine to offer an experience that will resonate with the participants.”
Participants will spend two nights in the Nordics, providing them with 2,5 days filled with B2B meetings, both formal and informal networking opportunities, and activities to discover just why Finland has been named the happiest country in the world six years running. A small group of attendees will even extend their stay via highly sought-after FAM trips in Helsinki and neighboring cities Tallinn and Tampere, partaking in traditionally Finnish events like river floating, ice hockey matches, and a trip or two to the sauna.
Europe Congress has partnered with Helsinki Partners and Visit Espoo to organize the event program while grand dinners will be held at the unique Little Finlandia and the iconic Hanaholmen, both located right on the water. “Hosting the event is a proof of joint commitment to excellence and local co-operation,” said Antti-Poika. “Finland Convention Bureau is honoured and thrilled to co-host MCE North & West Europe in Helsinki and Espoo this April!”
