IAPCO Honorary Membership is a lifetime honour and is open to those individuals whom the IAPCO General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Council, wishes to honour for their outstanding contribution to the work or reputation of the Association, or to the organisation of international congresses in general.
Roslyn started her career in the meetings and events industry with her specialist Japanese speaking tours and translation services over 52 years ago. Her company, Arinex, became one of the most successful PCO businesses in Australia and became a member of IAPCO in 1997. In 1999, Roslyn was awarded the Australian Commonwealth Government’s Member of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her outstanding contribution to the Australian tourism and meetings industry and retired in 2021, handing over the management of Arinex Group to Nicole Walker.
Roslyn expressed her heartfelt gratitude, stating, “To be an Honorary Member of IAPCO warms my heart. Over the years, to join my global PCO peers at our meetings and share in the active progress of the Association was an exhilarating experience. Without a doubt, the interaction with leaders of PCO companies from around the world was stimulating and exciting with lots of warmth and good times as we debated what was best for IAPCO and strove to set quality standards and share so much valuable intelligence with the industry at large. I valued my involvement, learned from my colleagues and gained memorable insights from our hosts in many destinations. Thank you for this honour. I am deeply appreciative.”
The IAPCO AM&GA is a premier annual event bringing together leading PCOs and industry partners from around the world to discuss industry trends, share best practices and build valuable connections. This year’s event in Ljubljana provided a platform for IAPCO to showcase the dynamism and innovation of the Slovenian meetings industry while facilitating collaboration and knowledge exchange among its members and partners.
