As part of its ongoing efforts to further diversify and strengthen its offering in the field of experiential marketing, Messe Dortmund is expanding BOE INTERNATIONAL trade show portfolio.

From 2025, the STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL show – which centres on temporary buildings, industrial and storage tents, marquees and associated furnishings and equipment – will be an integral part of the BOE event programme in Dortmund.

This strategic decision reflects Messe Dortmund’s commitment to actively shaping the dynamic requirements of the industry and offering a comprehensive, cross-industry forum for innovation, dialogue and business development. STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL, known as the international hub of the tent and marquee industry, will enrich the BOE spectrum with its extensive range of products. Its focus on leading-edge temporary logistics and event infrastructure complements the thematic breadth of the international experiential marketing show and opens up new synergies for exhibitors and trade visitors. This step not only marks a key milestone in Messe Dortmund’s programme of ongoing improvements, it also springs from a strong desire from industry and businesses associated with the respective shows.

“This integration is a strategically important step that further strengthens BOE’s standing as the leading trade show and meeting place for the event industry. STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL has established itself as an international forum for the tent and marquee industry, offering a comprehensive tents-to-accessories line-up to decision-makers in the event sector and to those engaged in production, commerce, logistics and architecture as well as industrial customers with a high demand for temporary storage logistics. With its focus on temporary structures and tents, it’s the perfect complement to BOE INTERNATIONAL,” said Sabine Loos, Managing Director of Westfalenhallen Unternehmensgruppe which owns and operates the Messe Dortmund venue.

Peter Stumpf from ‘zeltundco’, the conceptual sponsor and one of the driving forces behind STRUCTURES INTERNATIONAL, sees the integration as a “unique opportunity to combine the strengths of both trade shows and serve the event industry with an even broader and deeper range of products. This will not only increase the visibility of the tent industry but will also enhance the attractiveness and relevance of BOE as a holistic event for the entire industry.”

BOE’s past has already shown how valuable the combination of specialised events can be for the industry as a whole. The inclusion of STRUCTURES builds on this success and strengthens BOE’s position as a central forum for innovation, knowledge sharing and networking.

“From 2025, visitors can therefore expect to see an expanded range of products, services and technological innovations. This structural expansion promises to make BOE INTERNATIONAL an even more important meeting place for professionals from all over the world who are looking for industry-leading solutions and valuable business opportunities,” added Sabine Loos.

The extended range of products and services will be accompanied by a comprehensive supporting programme, with specialist presentations, workshops and panel discussions featuring industry experts addressing current topics and challenges and promoting a lively exchange of ideas. Further information on the planned integration and the expanded trade show programme will be published in the coming months.
