94% overall satisfaction rate

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) successfully hosted its signature annual European community event, the European Meetings and Events Conference (EMEC) in Luxembourg, 3-5 March, 2024. EMEC concluded on a high note, showcasing a remarkable achievement in attendee satisfaction and engagement. With an impressive Net Promoter Score (NPS) of 45 and a 94% overall satisfaction rate, EMEC has once again proven its standing as a premier event in the European meetings and events industry.

This year’s conference, characterized by its innovative learning journeys, engaging general sessions and effective networking opportunities, drew praise from industry professionals attending from across the globe, reflecting MPI’s unique international community footprint. Highlights included the highly acclaimed Hosted Buyer program, which achieved a 100% satisfaction rate among participants, and the general sessions, led by musical emcees from SongDivision, who garnered a 99% satisfaction rate.

“Luxembourg’s strategic position in Europe, coupled with a commitment to innovation and sustainability, provided a unique backdrop for MPI’s European Meetings and Events Conference, significantly enhancing our global visibility and securing country-wide economic development,” said Rachel Negri, Vice President of Luxembourg Convention and Visitors Bureau. “Hosting EMEC in Luxembourg to the highly influential MPI European and global audience will have immediate- and long-lasting impact on our local economies and the MICE industry, while also elevating our destination profile.”

EMEC Luxembourg offered a robust platform for professional development, with 90% of attendees affirming the value of the educational content provided. Furthermore, 94% of participants highlighted the effectiveness of networking opportunities at the event, fostering meaningful connections and collaborations.

Looking to future EMEC years, MPI is currently finalizing its 2025 host destination, with an announcement coming soon, and working with potential select host cities for 2026 and beyond. Building on the success of EMEC Luxembourg, MPI continues its path on further elevating the event experience, incorporating feedback and insights from this year’s attendees to meet and exceed expectations.
