Chef of the Year in the Marriott Premium Hotels category

The Artisan restaurant at the Prague Marriott Hotel is pleased to announce that its chef David Rejhon has received the prestigious “Chef of the Year” award in the Marriott Premium Hotels category. He received this distinguished award at the recent EMEA Operations 2024 conference held in Barcelona.

Chefs from more than 1,000 EMEA Marriott hotels compete for the “Chef of the Year” award based on the restaurant’s performance in gastronomy, economy, and most importantly, the feedback from guests that Marriott closely monitors.

David Rejhon scored with his passion for sustainability and zero-waste approach, which constitute the basic pillars of his work. Examples of his innovative approach include the production of their own honey from the rooftop beehives, a herb cultivator, a greenhouse and their own composter. In addition, David also uses the Japanese art technique of Kintsugi to repair broken plates and he occupies himself with preserving and fermenting food on a daily basis, effectively minimizing food waste. These sustainable and innovative practices were a key factor in earning David the ‘Chef of the Year’ award.
