The Event Leaders Exchange (ELX), an invite-only community for Global Heads of Events from the world’s largest corporations, is thrilled to announce the appointment of Nicola Kastner as its new CEO, effective April 15, 2024. This landmark decision reflects ELX’s commitment to leadership excellence and industry innovation.
Nicola Kastner, renowned for her expertise in event marketing strategy, brings to ELX a wealth of experience and accolades. Most recently she was the Founder of The Event Strategist, a boutique event strategy advisory firm. Prior to launching her consulting practice, Nicola held various roles on both the brand and agency sides of the business, including most recently as the Global Vice President of Event Marketing Strategy for SAP, where she was responsible for designing and optimizing event strategies for events ranging from 25 to 25,000 people. Nicola is one of the most sought-after industry experts and her prestigious recognitions include induction into the Canadian Meetings Hall of Fame, named to the Event Marketer B2B Dream Team in 2019, and as a “Top Woman in Events” by Event Marketer Magazine.
Nicola’s vision aligns perfectly with ELX’s ethos, which champions knowledge sharing, innovative solutions, and collaborative growth within the corporate event sector. ELX, since its inception in 2021, has rapidly evolved into a hub for industry leaders to address the challenges and opportunities of post-pandemic event leadership. With a focus on invitation-only think tanks, annual congresses, and forums, ELX fosters an environment where senior leaders can exchange ideas and drive industry-wide initiatives with their peers.
Nicola’s role as CEO will encompass spearheading ELX’s strategic direction, enhancing its global presence, and reinforcing its position as a thought leader in the event industry. She will also focus on expanding ELX’s exclusive member base, maintaining the intimate and collaborative nature of the community while introducing fresh perspectives and innovative ideas.
“I am honoured to join ELX as CEO and excited to contribute to this vibrant community of event leaders,” says Kastner. “ELX’s commitment to providing a safe space for the industry’s most senior leaders to collaborate and share best practices is unlike anything in the industry. It is a community that I wish had existed when I was with SAP. I look forward to working with our members to foster a vibrant future for our industry, where corporate events not only meet but exceed their strategic potential.”
