EUROPALCO, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, has once again demonstrated its unique expertise in the execution of the Millennium BCP Management Meeting, organised by agency DCE Loving Brands and held at the Pavilhão Carlos Lopes. It is the fourth consecutive year that Europalco has orchestrated the meeting, solidifying its reputation for excellence in event management and production.

Welcoming some 1,600 attendees, Europalco spared no effort to ensure that every aspect of the event was carefully executed. Over two days, a dedicated team of 30 technicians meticulously prepared the venue, transforming it into a dynamic and immersive environment to match the importance of the occasion.

Europalco provided a wide range of services including sound, lighting, video, cameras, automation, kinetic features, stage set-up and furniture. The theme of the event, focusing on the presentation of results and recognition of outstanding employees, was seamlessly integrated into all aspects of the production.

One of the highlights was the impressive visual display facilitated by Europalco’s state-of-the-art audiovisual technology. A colossal main screen, measuring 60m x 8m and divided into three sections (each 20m x 8m), served as the focal point of the stage. In particular, the central section of the display was designed with innovative functionality, capable of being raised and lowered as required throughout the event, using Movecat C1 technology controlled by the I Motion Expert T III SIL3 controller connected to Christie Pandoras Box video servers to synchronise the positioning of the screen and video server layers.

Pedro Magalhães, founder and CEO of Europalco, commented: “For another year, bringing the Millennium BCP Management Meeting to life has been both a privilege and a testament to our commitment to excellence. We are proud to have contributed to another successful meeting, and we look forward to continuing to raise the bar for future events.”

At the rear of the central section of the main screen, Europalco cleverly integrated an additional 20m by 6m LED wall. This secondary display served to further enrich the visual experience, providing additional flexibility for content delivery and enhancing the overall depth and dimensionality of the set design. Supported by 12 x Christie Boxer projectors and sophisticated video processing systems such as the Christie Spyder X80 and Pandoras Box Octo Server, the screen offered synchronised multi-projection with its movements, creating a dynamic backdrop for discussions and performances.

The event also showcased Europalco’s innovative use of kinetic elements, including 40 bars and 12 kinetic rings, which added a fascinating dimension to DAMA’s performance, the renowned Portuguese pop group, and the overall stage design. In addition, Europalco’s Silent Disco headphones enhanced the audience experience by providing simultaneous translation, as each colour-coded headphone represented a different language.

Despite the complexity of the production, Europalco successfully overcame the challenges to deliver a flawless event experience. Client feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and DCE Loving Brands has expressed satisfaction with Europalco’s continued ability to innovate and exceed expectations year after year.
