The partnership will involve GDS-Movement’s Jennifer Jensen hosting a panel discussion with UK destination representatives from Manchester, Belfast, Cambridge and Newcastle, on harnessing the power of events to create more regenerative cities. GDS-Movement will also deliver a keynote session to conclude the event with a focus on regenerative MICE strategies and using events as a driver of good.
Jack Newey, portfolio director at Conference News, commented: “We are really excited to partner with the GDS-Movement through a content partnership. The aim is to help bring awareness and education for event planners around which UK & Global destinations are making a conscious effort to track and promote sustainability and legacy for events. This will bring a new dynamic to the content and will hopefully help bring new global expertise to the discussion at the summit.”
Jennifer Jensen, Relationship Manager, UK and Ireland at GDS-Movement, commented: “Our partnership with Conference News underscores our commitment to promoting sustainable practices within the events industry. We firmly believe that events have the power to drive positive change. Through this collaboration, we aim to inspire and engage attendees, encouraging them to implement actionable sustainability initiatives within their own organisations.”
