MedILS – The Mediterranean Institute for Life Research, is an institute for natural sciences, conceived as an international center of excellence for molecular biology. Located on the very slopes of Marjan, MedILS offers unique prerequisites for holding workshops, scientific conferences and conferences of the highest quality.
The Institute has four fully equipped halls, and a residential area for the accommodation of congress participants. Only a 10-minute walk from the center of Split, and at the same time hidden from everyday noise.

MedILS - halls
Medils is the perfect place to organise conferences, seminars, exercises and lecture series. It is located in the Marjan Forest Park, on one of the most beautiful coasts of the Adriatic Sea. Group work can take place outside the Institute, in a park where benches, tables and wireless internet access are available.
Guests are accommodated in comfortable rooms with bathrooms. All rooms are air-conditioned, have a telephone and high-speed Internet access. Three meals a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and coffee during the lecture break can be organised at the Institute.
The environment provides many opportunities for various leisure activities, including swimming on the nearby beaches, jogging and hiking in the Marjan Forest Park, or playing basketball on the Institute’s basketball court. The city of Split, with its picturesque old town, offers plenty of restaurants, bars, and shops, and is a short walk or 5 minutes by bus from the Institute.
