THE WORLD DOWN SYNDROME CONGRESS
The World Down Syndrome Congress (WDSC), hosted in BestCities destinations such as Singapore (2004) to Vancouver (2006) and from Dublin (2009) to Cape Town (2012), and Dubai (2021 – online), has been a beacon of hope and progress for individuals with Down syndrome. The congress fosters a global community dedicated to inclusion and advocacy by bringing families, professionals, and self-advocates together.
The Congress is a platform for empowering self-advocacy and promoting human rights – initiatives like the ‘Listen Include Respect’ guidelines have set international standards for inclusivity. It sparks conversations, builds networks and inspires local communities. It pushes boundaries and sets new goals, creating a space of inclusion and equality.

WORLD PARKINSON COALITION
The World Parkinson Coalition (WPC) is a leading force in the global fight against Parkinson’s disease. Through its inclusive triennial congresses, WPC brings together patients, scientists, clinicians, and advocates to share knowledge and inspire new research directions. These congresses, hosted in various BestCities destinations, provide a collaborative and innovative platform, driving progress in understanding and treating Parkinson’s disease.
The coalition’s role is to shift the focus of the research by integrating the patient community into the discussion. Researchers now explore beyond traditional movement symptoms, considering a holistic approach. 23RD WORLD CONGRESS ON INTELLIGENT TRANSPORT SYSTEMS
