United Networks of International Corporate Event Organizers (UNICEO), the international association bringing together senior decision-makers in charge of corporate events representing blue chip companies, appointed Rana Birden as Vice President for Türkiye.

After graduating from the Department of International Relations at Galatasaray University, Rana Birden has worked for 16 years in civil society and international organizations. Then in 2016, she joined the Kale Group of Companies.

Today, she is leading the group’s communication, social impact investments, event management, and corporate and international relations. She continues to support the Women in Foreign Policy platform, of which she is one of the founders and holds board memberships and advisory roles in the Türkiye Europe Foundation, the Corporate Communicators Association and INGEV (Humanitarian Development Foundation). In this voluntary role, Mrs. Birden will be responsible for the leadership and development of the association in Türkiye as well as a Board Member of UNICEO International.

“I am honoured to have been selected to represent UNICEO in Türkiye and to contribute to its development,” says Rana Birden. “I have been a UNICEO Member for 10 years now and firmly believe that this network is indispensable for Marketing and Communication leaders and strongly believe that the professional development of members and our industry can only happen when leaders get together in a trusted environment.

“In the past 10 years, we have gathered several leaders in Türkiye,” added Laurent Fuchs, Chief Executive Officer for UNICEO International. “The appointment of Rana is the main strategic step in our development in the country. UNICEO will definitely benefit from her wide experience and leadership in the country.”
