Hosted in Dubai for the first time, this eighth-annual event drew over 550 top chefs from 61 countries, spotlighting global talent and innovation in gastronomy.
At the esteemed Best Chef Awards 2024 in Dubai, Ana Roš Stojan, who helms the three Michelin-starred Hiša Franko, received the award for Best Female Chef, as chosen by culinary experts from around the globe.
Receiving the award, Ana Roš expressed heartfelt appreciation, noting the special significance of recognition from her colleagues and fellow professionals.
“This ‘voted by professionals’ award means a lot to me—not only personally but also for Slovenia. It was completely unexpected, yet it confirms that my team and I have maintained a high standard in world cuisine since The Best Chef Awards began eight years ago. I’m incredibly proud of my team and our commitment to our philosophy of ‘no waste’, which prioritizes responsibility towards nature and society.”
The Best Chef Awards also recognized other Slovenian chefs, including David Žefran from Milka, who earned two knives, and Luka Košir from Grič Restaurant who earned one. These acknowledgements signify exceptional quality and expertise in the culinary world.
The event celebrated other icons as well, including Rasmus Munk from Denmark’s Alchemist, named Best Chef in the World, underscoring a global commitment to culinary excellence and community.
