International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, has opened its Audio Visual (AV) Graduate Program for applications for the sixth time, creating a career pathway for newly qualified technicians to join the venue’s ranks from February 2025.

As part of a raft of learning opportunities at ICC Sydney, the AV Graduate Program supports the next generation of technical professionals in accessing unparalleled vocational training and development opportunities.

As part of the year-long initiative, the graduates will gain exposure to a calendar of events, exhibitions and conventions, working across all areas of ICC Sydney’s leading AV and production services including audio, lighting, vision, rigging, staging and digital event solutions.

“For the graduates, the ICC Sydney AV Graduate Program is a proven pathway to gain invaluable experience working on complex and creative events.”

ICC Sydney Director of Audio Visual Services, Brian Nash said that the AV Graduate Program had resulted in tangible benefits for event organiser clients, the candidates and the venue team with each iteration.

“For the graduates, the ICC Sydney AV Graduate Program is a proven pathway to gain invaluable experience working on complex and creative events—with the mentoring opportunities available to them being a significant benefit. Previously, we have progressed 100% of the graduates to casual and permanent roles at the venue. The AV Graduate Program also bolsters our support for client events, as we broaden the capability of our diverse, inclusive and multi-generational team,” Nash said.

The AV Graduate Program is one of a number of professional development programs offered by ICC Sydney including the First Nations Employment program, international Culinary Services Internship program, High Performance Program for senior team members and a range of specialised internal training courses.
