Kenes Group achieves the sustainable ISO 20121:2024 certification

Kenes Group, a leading global provider of events and association management services, is proud to announce its recent certification in ISO 20121:2024, the most up-to-date international standard for sustainable event management.

ISO 20121:2024 provides a framework for improving the sustainability of events throughout their entire lifecycle, from initial planning to post-event activities. This is the latest framework developed by the International Organization for Standardization – ISO for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Kenes Group, renowned for organizing high-quality medical, professional and scientific congresses, has integrated the principles of this standard into every aspect of its operations, as proposed earlier this year in its sustainability roadmap 2024.

With this certification, Kenes Group affirms its dedication to environmental stewardship, resource efficiency, and stakeholder engagement. The company’s Event Sustainability Management System (ESMS) aligns with the International Organization for Standardization – ISO and encompasses all global activities related to conference planning and delivery across its global offices. It includes waste reduction strategies, energy-efficient solutions, sustainable procurement, and enhanced communication with stakeholders to ensure transparent sustainability practices.

This certification is added to other sustainability initiatives that Kenes Group has been actively engaged with, such as the United Nations Global Compact, the UN Sustainable Development Goals, the Zero Net Carbon Events pledge and the IAPCO Pledge Against Single Use Plastic.
