Eeva-Riitta Tuominen, eMBA, has been appointed Service and Production Director and member of the management team at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre. She will start in her new position on January 13, 2025.

Eeva-Riitta Tuominen has extensive experience in service business management in the real estate and social and healthcare sectors. She joins Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from her position as Business Director at ISS Palvelut Oy.

Tuominen holds an Executive MBA degree in Business Administration from Aalto University and has a Master’s degree in Hospitality Management (UAS).

As Service and Production Director, she will be responsible for technical services, construction services, hall services, and graphic services at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

Her proven track record in customer management for B2B and B2C businesses, both in Finland and internationally, as well as her experience in developing solution-based sales, will furthermore enhance our ability to meet customer needs,” says Anni Vepsäläinen, CEO of Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre.

In addition to CEO Anni Vepsäläinen and Service and Production Director Eeva-Riitta Tuominen, the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre management team includes Mika Vakkilainen(Property Director), Petteri Nissinen (CFO), Lumia Ankkuri (Marketing and Communications Director), Mikko Horppu (Exhibitions), and Marcus Bergström (Messukeskus Events & Congresses).

Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre is Finland’s leading event organiser and a provider of facilities for meetings, conferences, and congresses. The Centre produces high-quality events and rents its facilities and services for a wide variety of events. Guest events held at the venue include Slush, Nordic Business Forum, Assembly, the Finnish Kennel Club’s Dog Fair Finland, and numerous international congresses and corporate events each year. The facilities comprise 7 halls, 40 flexible meeting rooms, 21 restaurants, and an on-site event hotel.

The Finnish Fair Corporation Group, which includes the Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre, also comprises the trade show organiser Expomark Oy and the AV technology company SVV Oy. In 2023, the group reported revenue of €51.3 million and generated an economic impact of €187 million for its surrounding area.
