Ljubljana will host another edition of Conventa, one of the most significant trade shows for the MICE industry in Central and Eastern Europe. This year, 13 Polish exhibitors will showcase their offerings to international event planners, incentive travel organizers, and conference and congress professionals.

About Conventa – A Key Marketplace for the MICE Industry in New Europe

Conventa is a prestigious event bringing together key players from the meetings industry across Central and Eastern Europe. Since its inception in 2009, it has attracted exhibitors, buyers, and industry experts from across the region. The previous edition featured over 120 exhibitors from 16 countries and welcomed 250 hosted buyers from 35 nations, resulting in more than 3,000 B2B meetings.

Record number of Polish exhibitors

“This year’s edition of Conventa will bring together a record number of Polish exhibitors! Over the years, the event has evolved beyond the framework of a traditional business tradeshow, becoming a key meeting point for event organizers seeking top destinations and venues in New Europe,” said Natalija Bah Čad, Head of Meetings and Events at Toleranca Marketing, the organiser of the Conventa trade show.

Why Poland’s Presence at Conventa Matters

Participating in Conventa provides a strategic opportunity to promote Poland as a competitive MICE destination and to establish key business connections. Over the past decade, Poland has strengthened its position in the European meetings market, thanks to significant investments in conference and hotel infrastructure.

In the 2023 International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) rankings, Poland achieved its highest position to date, securing the 17th spot globally. This represents a significant rise of six places from the previous year.

One of the event’s highlights is the Meetings Star Awards gala, where top hotels, congress centres, and MICE destinations in Europe are recognized. Among this year’s finalists are the ICE Kraków Congress Centre, the International Congress Centre in Katowice, Nobu Hotel Warsaw, The Bridge Wroclaw – MGallery, Aries Hotel & SPA Wisła, and LCK – Lubelskie Centrum Konferencyjne in Lublin.

Additionally, Gdańsk, Kraków, and Wrocław have been shortlisted as top MICE destinations in the L category.
