Besides a unique family-run boutique hotel, the Taggenbrunn estate in Carinthia doubles as an event venue thanks to a chic concert hall adorned with unique illumination and an architectural mix of stone and wood. Each year, the Riedl family, who own the vast estate, organise the Festival Taggenbrunn, which blends art, world-class culture, and curated musical brilliance.
The concert hall is famed for its quality acoustics and the historical ambience of Castle Taggenbrunn. The castle itself dates back to the 12th century and was given a new lease on life thanks to the tireless work of the Riedl family. Attendees can also explore the adjoining museum, which has a permanent exhibition on the castle’s history and a multimedia exhibition by renowned curator Andrea Heller.
The Concert Hall can accommodate up to 650 attendees in a theatre setting. Its trump card is the abundance of daylight flooding the space from above through the panoramic ceiling. Event organisers seeking a more intimate setting can choose between the spacious Weinbergsaal (390 m²) for up to 200 guests or the Granary, Seminar Room, and Hunting Room, accommodating groups from 8 to 120.
Tailored catering for events by the Jezeršek family
As the Riedl family recently joined forces with the Jezeršek family from Slovenia, who specialise in gastronomical experiences par excellence, the cuisine and catering at Taggenbrunn now meet the highest standards. Whether at the Castle Restaurant Taggenbrunn or the Castle Café & Wine Bar, the cuisine is always seasonal and locally sourced to prevent food waste.
