TalTech has won the bid to host the 11th International XR-Metaverse Conference in May 2026, marking a major achievement for Estonia’s immersive technology community.

Under the leadership of Vladimir Kuts, Head of the Industrial Virtual and Augmented Reality Laboratory and Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanics and Industrial Engineering at TalTech, the university has successfully secured the rights to host the 11th International XR-Metaverse Conference in 2026. The conference, organised by the International Association of Immersive Technology Innovation (IAITI), will take place in Estonia.

The conference aims to advance research in AR, VR, XR, and the Metaverse by fostering meaningful networking and collaboration opportunities.

IAITI President Prof. Timothy Jung commented: “The annual conference is the most important event of IAITI, and it aims to bring industry and academia together to discuss, present, and showcase the latest trends and advance the immersive technology arena. We believe that your proposed plans align perfectly with these goals.”

The conference will take place in May 2026 and aims to bring together 150 professionals.
