Global wellness and lifestyle company QNET has officially launched V-Malaysia 2025, its signature convention, at the Penang SPICE Convention Centre.

Held from 21 to 25 June, the event attracted over 8,000 international attendees from more than 30 countries, highlighting Penang as a preferred destination for major International Business Events.

This marks the 13th consecutive year that QNET has chosen Penang as host, reinforcing the island’s reputation as a world-class MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions) destination. The convention was a result of strategic collaboration between QNET, its longstanding event partner V Global Management (The V), Tourism Malaysia, Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), and its state-level affiliate, Penang Convention and Exhibition Bureau (PCEB).

V-Malaysia has evolved into a premier platform for business networking, entrepreneurial development, and cross-cultural collaboration. The synergy between QNET and The V — an internationally recognised organisation specialising in large-scale training and events — has been pivotal in building the convention’s global draw.

YB Wong Hon Wai, Penang State EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy (PETACE), commented: “This is timely, as Malaysia’s role as Chair of the 46th ASEAN Summit is already accelerating regional interest. QNET’s continued commitment to hosting its international convention here contributes directly to job creation, tourism revenues, and Penang’s brand as a global Business Events destination.

The goal of the Malaysia Convention and Exhibition Bureau is to strengthen Malaysia’s brand in Business Tourism and enhance the country’s position in the International Business Events market. In 2023 alone, MyCEB facilitated 248 Business Events, attracting over 180,700 international delegates and generating approximately RM 2.8 billion in economic impact.

For V-Malaysia 2025, MyCEB’s expertise in destination marketing, strategic facilitation, and coordination between federal and state levels (in collaboration with PCEB) has been crucial in elevating Penang’s status as a premier MICE hub.

Complementing this effort is Tourism Malaysia, whose targeted incentives and logistical backing helped deliver V-Malaysia 2025 as a high-impact global event. Their support underscores the government’s broader commitment to positioning Malaysia as a top-tier host for international conferences and high-impact corporate events.

Trevor Kuna, QNET, added, “Penang offers a powerful combination of infrastructure, cultural appeal, and strategic support. Our long-standing partnership with Tourism Malaysia and PCEB has enabled us to bring V-Malaysia to life repeatedly and at scale. Together with our partner, The V, we’re proud to reinforce Malaysia’s stature as a hub for world-class conventions.”

QNET also used V-Malaysia as a platform to preview selected innovations in wellness, including Harmoniq, a bio-signalling patch, and QWIK, a new line of oral health and nutrition strips.

V-Malaysia 2025 not only marks a celebration of entrepreneurship and learning but also serves as a powerful example of how cross-sector collaboration can boost Malaysia’s MICE profile and economic growth.
