AOCPRM 2025 will present a dynamic scientific programme covering the latest innovations in physical and rehabilitation medicine. Highlights include a keynote by a world-renowned expert, eight plenary sessions on global challenges, and 28 thematic symposia addressing topics such as neurorehabilitation, spinal cord injury, robotics, and ageing. For the first time, a dedicated Mandarin Symposium will offer a platform for Mandarin-speaking delegates, while ten pre-conference workshops on 20 August will provide practical clinical training.

“AOCPRM 2025 is a landmark opportunity to bring diverse rehabilitation voices together under one roof. We are especially proud to host the first-ever Mandarin Symposium to broaden accessibility and collaboration,” said Dr Chung Tze Yang, Chair of the AOCPRM 2025 Organizing Committee.

Complementing the scientific program, AOCPRM 2025 includes thoughtfully curated
cultural and wellness activities to enhance the delegate experience and promote work-life balance:

  • Morning Tai Chi sessions, led by a delegate from China, and Gentle Stretch &
Breathing sessions, guided by a local physiotherapist, will be held on the SPICE
Convention Centre rooftop garden, promoting mindfulness, body awareness, and
physical balance in line with holistic health practices.
  • A symbolic Tree Planting Ceremony will take place as a commitment to
    sustainability and community unity
  • A grand Cultural Gala Dinner at the historic Eastern & Oriental (E&O) Hotel,
featuring Malaysian cuisine, performances, and networking in an elegant heritage
    setting

Registered delegates will have the opportunity to explore Penang through optional sightseeing tours. These include the Penang Heritage Tour, which will guide participants through George Town’s UNESCO sites, street art, and Peranakan culture; the Penang Hill and Habitat experience with panoramic views, nature trails, and a ride on the historic funicular train; a scenic sunset cruise along Penang’s coastline; and a seasonal Durian Experience Tour, offering a taste of Malaysia’s iconic fruit in a local orchard.
