Business Events Adelaide kicked off a busy season of corporate incentive groups with the successful hosting of Infinitus JiYang (1-7 September). Infinitus, one of the world’s most prominent direct selling companies specialising in traditional Chinese health and wellness products, chose Adelaide ahead of several competing destinations to reward more than 1,200 of their top-performing distributors. Business Events Adelaide secured the group for Adelaide, with strong support provided by Tourism Australia via the Business Events Bid Fund program.

Delegates arrived in two waves during the week, staying in multiple hotels and enjoying a varied five-day itinerary that included metropolitan and regional activities in the Fleurieu Peninsula, Adelaide Hills and Barossa, business seminars, a free public wellness session and culminating in an extraordinary celebration Gala Dinner at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Business Events Adelaide Chief Executive Officer, Mr Damien Kitto, said that the Infinitus corporate incentive was much coveted. “We first won this incentive in 2018, and it was due to be held in 2020, however, the bid was cancelled due to the COVID pandemic”, he said. “Having maintained the relationship, it is extremely gratifying to have welcomed Infinitus and their leadership team to Adelaide”.

Robin Mack, Acting Managing Director of Tourism Australia, said, “We were honoured to welcome the Infinitus delegation to Adelaide. Business events are not only a powerful driver of Australia’s tourism economy, but also an important bridge for international exchange and collaboration. This recent incentive trip in Adelaide follows the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between Tourism Australia and Infinitus in March this year. It is a significant step in turning our strategic partnership into tangible outcomes, showcasing first-hand the strengths of Australia as a business events destination and our unique incentive offering.”

“Exceptional quality, a huge range of experiences and great value make Adelaide Australia’s experience city and a compelling choice for corporate incentive groups from Asia.”

Infinitus heralds the start of a series of corporate incentives visiting Adelaide this year, including further groups from Greater China, one from Malaysia, and three from India. Collectively, these will add more than $10m to the state economy, distributed across the state in both the city and regions.
