The interplay between talent, technology, and trust will take centre stage at the Bea World Festival, in a live on-stage conversation at the Auditorium Parco della Musica. 27Names, the community of Europe’s best independent live-experience agencies, is proud to announce that the celebrated multidisciplinary artist Anton Corbijn will be the featured guest for its annual 27Minutes session at Bea World 2025, the festival that celebrates the best international events, this year in its 20th edition. The conversation will be led by Patrick Roubroeks, founder of XSAGA (a member of the 27Names network).
One of Europe’s most celebrated creative minds
Anton Corbijn’s creative influence reaches far beyond his titles as photographer, film, and music video director. He is the visionary behind the iconic visual worlds of Depeche Mode, U2, and Coldplay — an artist whose imagery has defined decades of music and culture. A recent Abbey Road Music Photography Award winner, Corbijn stands as one of Europe’s most celebrated creative minds.

As Tom Waits once put it, “Anton Corbijn is a cross between a Russian spy, a painter, a gigolo, and a priest. He’s a fly on the wall. He’s the king of the ball. He’s the King of them all.” Beyond the music world, Corbijn has shaped major visual campaigns for global brands including Levi’s (with Kate Moss), Dior (with Natalie Portman), and G-Star RAW (with Magnus Carlsen).
His cinematic achievements include Control (2007), the haunting story of Ian Curtis; The American (2010); A Most Wanted Man (2014), based on John le Carré’s novel; Life (2015), exploring the bond between photographer Dennis Stock and James Dean; and the U2 documentary Linear / Viva la Vida (2008). Corbijn is currently in post-production on his latest film — much of it filmed in Rome.
Together, Corbijn and Roubroeks will explore how creativity evolves at the intersection of human talent, emerging technology, and the ever-critical foundation of trust. This marks the second instalment of the 27Minutes interview series, following the 2024 debut featuring Thierry Reboul, the creative force behind the Paris Olympics celebrations.
