For the past eighteen years, Conventa has been connecting event experts in the New Europe region. In 2023, the established brand unveiled a new, boutique format dubbed “Try Before You Buy” (TBYB). This novel format combines pre-arranged one-to-one meetings with authentic destination experiences, setting a new standard for meetings in the events industry. In cooperation with strategic partners, the DMC agency Vekol DMC and one of Belgrade’s most unique and creative hubs, Ložionica, the TBYB-BG invites guests to visit the Serbian capital from March 11 to 13, 2026. The event will offer event organisers a glimpse into the city’s preparations for the global Expo in Belgrade, which is set to be the single most important regional event of the decade.

As the organisers explain, the ‘Try Before You Buy’ format is more than just a business event. It presents an opportunity to experience the destination and the people who render it unique. It follows Conventa’s philosophy that events are more than routine meetings. At Conventa’s events, events transform into art.

The Ložionica creative hub and Vekol DMC event agency share the same values and principles as Conventa. Besides creativity, these include attention to detail, crafting authentic experiences, implementing sustainability practices, and fostering genuine connections among people.

Gorazd Čad, the co-founder of Conventa, commented on the upcoming event: “We wish to bring attendees closer to the spirit of this extraordinary city at the confluence of the Sava and Danube rivers – a city that the writer Momo Kapor characterised as being ‘not a place, but a metaphor for living and thinking’. By hosting TBYB-BG in the Serbian capital, we wish to create a unique space where meetings don’t occur serendipitously but are ingrained in the memories of all attendees. We beckon event organisers to experience Belgrade with their hearts – before the rest of the world discovers its beauty at the upcoming Expo.”
