Pedro Magalhães of Europalco honoured at The Eventeers 2025

Pedro Magalhães, founder and CEO of Europalco, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, has been awarded the Ingenuity Award (“Engenho” category) at The Eventeers 2025. The award ceremony took place during Reinvent the Event, Portugal’s main annual forum for meetings and events professionals, at the Centro de Congressos do Estoril.

The Eventeers jury selected Magalhães from a strong field of professionals known for their ability to solve complex challenges. Reflecting on the recognition, Pedro Magalhães said: “It is with great pride and satisfaction that I receive this award at Reinvent, organised by Event Point. I see it as a tribute to a 39-year journey driven by the desire to innovate, to do things differently, and to create what hasn’t yet been done.”

“To innovate is to take risks—and in our sector, those risks happen live, without rehearsals. The pressure is immense. There are moments when I tell myself, ‘That’s enough, I can’t keep taking these kinds of risks.’ But when it all comes together and I see everyone’s satisfaction, I forget the stress and immediately start thinking about the next challenge. It’s a cycle that never ends. When you love what you do, it’s impossible to stop. Still, as the years go by, I sometimes ask myself how much longer I can keep doing this—but the desire to create always speaks louder. Continuing to innovate is, and always will be, my greatest challenge.”
