Cubex Centre Prague has been awarded the title of Best Small Convention Centre at the Meetings Star Awards 2025/2026, bringing what is often described as the “three Michelin stars of the meetings industry” back to Prague and confirming the venue’s position among Europe’s most accomplished and forward-thinking event destinations.

Following a final review by the international assessors’ panel, Cubex Centre Prague ranked first in the Small Convention Centres category, achieving an exceptional overall score of 4.970 out of 5. The venue finished ahead of leading European competitors, including LCK Lublin Conference Centre (4.965) and Congress Centrum Alpbach (4.935), a margin that underscores the consistently high standards across every evaluated category.

The award was presented on February 11, 2026, during the Meetings Star gala evening at Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The ceremony took place as part of the international Conventa, bringing together more than 400 senior professionals from the global meetings and events industry. Cubex Centre Prague was represented on stage by David Urban, Event Director, who accepted the award on behalf of the venue.

“This award is a powerful acknowledgement of what our team has been building since day one,” said David Urban. “Cubex was conceived as a venue that challenges conventions – through architecture, technology, sustainability, and the way we work with organisers. Being recognised as the best small convention centre, and earning what many see as the industry’s equivalent of three Michelin stars, shows that this approach delivers real value on an international level.”

A Contemporary Venue with a Clear Vision

Opened in 2018, Cubex Centre Prague is a purpose-built, mid-sized convention centre inspired by Czech cubism and located in Prague’s modern Pankrác business district. Integrated into a LEED Platinum–certified building, Cubex is widely regarded as Prague’s most sustainable event venue, combining strong environmental performance with advanced technical infrastructure – qualities increasingly expected of venues operating at the very top tier of the global meetings industry.

The centre offers 3,700 square metres of flexible event space across eight meeting halls, three foyers and two bars, with a total in-house capacity of up to 1,400 participants. The main hall alone accommodates up to 1,000 delegates in theatre setup, making it one of the most capable mid-sized convention spaces in Central Europe.

For larger-scale events, capacities can be seamlessly extended to up to 1,700 participants through a direct connection with the adjacent Conference Centre City, or up to 2,112 participants when integrated into the wider Prague Event Hub ecosystem. Its technological backbone includes a 360° panoramic projection, a 102-square-metre media wall, and the distinctive Chameleon Concept lighting system, featuring more than 325 metres of programmable LED strips designed to transform events into fully immersive experiences.

In the Meetings Star evaluation, Cubex Centre Prague received top scores across key categories such as conference space quality, lighting, acoustics, multimedia systems, sustainability practices, and customer service, resulting in a final grade of 4.97 – a result typically associated only with the very best venues worldwide.

International Standards, Strong Local Roots

Cubex Centre Prague has built a strong reputation among international organisers seeking a venue that offers flexibility, visual impact, and operational reliability without compromise. Its modular design supports a wide range of event formats – from high-level conferences and gala dinners to immersive brand experiences and automotive launches – while close cooperation with trusted local partners ensures consistently high service standards.

“With a nothing-is-impossible approach, Cubex Centre Prague’s team is an inspiring example of Czech innovation,” says Jure Čad, Hidden Guest Assessor. “Cubex sets  sustainability and design standards for conference venues of this size.”

This latest recognition reinforces Cubex Centre Prague’s role as a venue that successfully blends local architectural identity with global event expectations, positioning it among a select group of convention centres that can credibly be described as operating at a “three Michelin star” level within the international meetings industry.
