Europalco, the largest provider of solutions for events and shows in Southern Europe, has expanded its logistics infrastructure in Portugal with the significant expansion of its warehouse in Porto and the opening of a new warehouse in the Algarve, strengthening its ability to support events with local equipment, technical teams, and faster regional response.
The new facilities mark an important step in the company’s shift from a centralised logistics structure to a network-based model. By establishing permanent operational bases in two of Portugal’s main event regions, Europalco is increasing agility, improving flexibility, and reducing the carbon footprint associated with long-distance transport of heavy structures and equipment.
The warehouses will function as local logistics hubs, with a permanent stock of audiovisual equipment, furniture, and structures to support events in the North and South of the country. Their primary role is to ensure that setups and technical support are carried out with local resources, reducing dependence on the company’s headquarters in Sintra and enabling faster, more efficient project delivery.

The expansion also supports the wider Europalco ecosystem, with Rise operating in the Algarve, and New Audiovisuais and AV Tech in the North, including Porto, three companies that are part of Europalco’s empowerment ecosystem, allowing the strengths of each brand, from audiovisual technology to complex structures, to be deployed locally through a shared logistics structure.
With stock and technical teams based in Porto and the Algarve, Europalco expects to streamline logistics, shorten setup times, improve flexibility for last-minute changes, and manage transport resources more efficiently.

The investment also reflects the company’s broader growth and consolidation strategy in Portugal. Beyond supporting increasing business volume, the new infrastructure expands Europalco’s installed capacity and reinforces its ability to deliver complex projects in different regions without the constraints of a centralised model.
For clients and partners, the expansion means the same technical standards and service consistency, now supported by stronger local infrastructure and closer operational follow-up throughout the country.
