THE LARGEST HALL ON THE SLOVENIAN COAST
Grando Salt Warehouse dates back to the first half of the 19th century. The building stretches almost 200 metres in length and is divided into four sections. At the end of the salt-harvesting season, salt workers transported the annual harvest from their private storage houses in the salt pans to the warehouse.
In 2021, the Municipality of Piran restored and renovated the ageing roof of Grando Salt Warehouse, while also carrying out several smaller interventions within the halls. Today, the Grando warehouse serves as a distinctive event venue for numerous local and international events, ranging from concerts, congresses and promotional events to exhibitions and trade fairs.
Sections C and D of Grando Salt Warehouse are available for hire. The latter is the largest hall on the Slovenian coast, covering 1,876 square metres, and together with the smaller Hall C allows for a wide variety of event configurations. Organisers are particularly impressed by the height of the ceiling, which accommodates even the most demanding productions. The venue’s minimalist industrial interior is another defining feature, attracting organisers of diverse events who wish to create a setting tailored to their own vision.
