A RIVERSIDE LIDO AND EVENT VENUE ON THE Kolpa River

Set in the idyllic surroundings of the Kolpa River, Turizem Benetič has for many years offered a charming setting for gatherings. The estate includes a summer garden, a campsite and a spacious meadow suitable for outdoor events. Within the grounds, visitors can also view the last working mill on the Kolpa River.

The picnic area by the Kolpa River, covering more than 600 square metres, can accommodate up to 700 guests, while a smaller party area is suitable for up to 40 participants. The owners, Antonija Benetič and Vladimir Benetič, have modernised the estate, which dates back over a century. They regularly host business meetings, team-building groups and smaller events.

An insight into the cultural and culinary heritage of Bela Krajina

For event organisers wishing to present the cultural heritage of Bela Krajina to their guests, Mlinarjeva hiša offers an authentic experience of life along the Kolpa River. The house was once home to a miller and his family — the great-grandfather of Vladimir, a well-known local miller. Although he is no longer alive, the 150-year-old mill remains the only operational roller mill on the Kolpa River. Inside the house, guests can discover traditional embroidery, solid wooden furniture and small everyday objects dating back more than a century.

Events in Bela Krajina would not be complete without sampling the region’s rich gastronomic offer. Participants can look forward to dishes prepared under the bell (peka), roast lamb in the Bela Krajina style, and homemade bread made from flour milled at the nearby mill. For incentive groups, the venue also offers the hire of Kolpa e-bike electric bicycles. With these, groups can explore Bela Krajina and, among other highlights, discover the restored Douglas DC-3 aircraft.
