VOK DAMS Worldwide has won the “Organiser of the Year (AI Adoption and Innovation)” award at this year’s Event Technology Awards: AI Edition in London. The award was presented during the inaugural AI Edition of the Event Technology Awards, dedicated entirely to recognising the transformative role of artificial intelligence in the events industry.

Dr. Anja Schmidt-Ott, Strategy & Consulting at VOK DAMS, accepted the prestigious trophy on behalf of the entire team. The Event Technology Awards are regarded as one of the leading international awards for innovation in the events industry. In the inaugural AI Edition, awards were presented across 21 categories, including “Best AI for Ticketing & Pricing Optimisation,”Best AI for Customer Service,” “Best Use of AI at an Exhibition or Trade Show,”Best AI for Registration & Onboarding,” and “Most Innovative AI Application in Events.”

Competing against an international field of entrants, VOK DAMS emerged as the winner in the highly competitive category “Organiser of the Year (AI Adoption and Innovation).”

The “Organiser of the Year (AI Adoption and Innovation)” award recognises VOK DAMS worldwide for its pioneering use of artificial intelligence in event and live marketing. At the heart of the winning submission was the company’s Digital Doppelgänger approach.

“For us, Digital Doppelgänger for live events are only the beginning. This approach demonstrates how AI can transform marketing and communications as a whole by integrating audience perspectives earlier, validating messages more effectively, and aligning touchpoints across the customer journey more consistently for maximum impact. We are delighted that this award shines a spotlight on this approach,” says Dr. Anja Schmidt-Ott, Strategy & Consulting at VOK DAMS worldwide.

VOK DAMS’ Digital Doppelgängers use AI to simulate target audiences, enabling event teams to understand at an early stage which messages, content, and touchpoints truly resonate. This fundamentally transforms the event planning process. Instead of evaluating content only after an event has taken place, content can be tested, refined, and its impact measured before implementation.

“This award is a testament to what we have been working on at VOK DAMS for years: treating AI not as a buzzword, but as a practical tool for creating better events. For us, data-driven event management is not a vision of the future; it is already part of our daily business. Being recognised by such a distinguished jury makes us proud and inspires us to push the boundaries even further,” says Colja Dams, Co-CEO of VOK DAMS worldwide.
