BEIC is a collective of global event agencies that champions cross-border collaboration, knowledge-sharing and building brand culture. Comprising 40 agencies, 82 offices and 47 countries, the association is burgeoning worldwide and organising a slew of in-house events. We sat down with Máté Molnár, Public Relations Lead at BEIC, who shared why he joined the association and reflected on the future. He emphasised that BEIC’s approach is to build a community that helps shape the industry’s future.

The Business Events Industry Club, BEIC, is an international association uniting leading agencies, venues, suppliers and professionals across the global events industry under one roof. Through knowledge exchange, strategic partnerships and member-led initiatives and events, BEIC strengthens collaboration, advances professional standards and provides a platform for the ideas shaping the future of live experiences.

Q1: How would you describe BEIC in no more than five words?

A safety net and collective power.

“For me, this is what makes BEIC different: we are not just friends or industry peers who enjoy meeting each other. We actually build things together.”

Q2: Why did you decide to become a part of BEIC?

Because I believed that if you bring the right people together, something bigger can happen. And this is exactly what I experience at BEIC: almost every meeting brings a new idea, a new initiative or a new way to strengthen our community and the BEIC brand.

A few months ago, we built our strategies across different areas and started turning them into action – from new communication initiatives and educational content to developing our own internal app. For me, this is what makes BEIC different: we are not just friends or industry peers who enjoy meeting each other. We actually build things together. That energy of constantly creating, experimenting and turning ideas into reality is what inspires me to be part of it.

Q3: Let’s say you have a crystal ball. What is the future of BEIC?

I would like to see BEIC become a voice that helps shape the future of our industry internationally. A community that connects people across countries and cultures, but also brings new ideas, topics and perspectives into the industry.

For me, the Way of BEIC means that collective power comes with shared responsibility.

As we grow, our impact should grow with us – opening doors for the next generation, giving back to the industry and to the cultures and communities we come from, and creating new formats and initiatives that others can learn from or build on.

If we can achieve that, BEIC will become much more than a network. It will be a community that helps shape what comes next – and hopefully inspires others to do the same. That is the Way of BEIC.
