The first episode features Adriano Martella, Executive Creative Director and Head of Creative at Filmmaster, the mastermind behind the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Closing Ceremony and Paralympic Opening Ceremony. His international portfolio includes UEFA EURO, UEFA Champions League ceremonies, and Expo Milano 2015. He was also named Creative Director of the Year at BEA Italia in 2021.
Creative conviction, pressure and the people behind the spectacle
In the opening conversation, host Dace Ozola-Slaidiņa, owner of Meduza Events and member of BEIC, takes listeners inside the pressures of creating for an Olympic stage. Martella reflects on the moments before a major ceremony begins, when creative control must give way to trust in the team. He also addresses interpreting client briefs, responding to budget constraints and preserving the value of creative expertise as ideas become increasingly easy to generate.
Turning collective know-how into a distinct international voice
For BEIC, the venture into podcasting marks a watershed moment to make its collective expertise visible and accessible internationally. Founded in 2016 around trusted partnerships and the exchange of experience across markets, the community has developed programmes that support agency leadership, creative development, and emerging talent.
Off the Record extends that exchange to a wider audience. Its value lies in letting listeners hear how experienced practitioners think, navigate challenges and make consequential decisions. For agency leaders, creative teams, brand professionals and the next generation of event talent, it creates an accessible connection to international experience.
BEIC Off the Record officially launches on Tuesday, 6 October 2026. Follow the series on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube. Learn more about BEIC here: https://beic.pro/.
