1. What makes the perfect DMC?
A role of a DMC it is to provide professional services for meeting planners and organizers of the incentive programs. With extensive knowledge of the local environment including hotels, venues, restaurants, and activities a perfect DMC should above all create a memorable experience and has to reflect passionate, professional, enthusiastic way of work to present its country or area in an unforgettable way. DMC should deliver to its client something special that nobody has previously done or experienced particularly as clients are looking for WOW effects.
2. How do you see the job of DMC in changing?
With an era of extensive social media channels and possibility to find literally all services on the web, DMC is often seen as a middleman that has to be kicked out. We are experiencing that more and more clients are booking services directly and when facing different problems they are then asking for help. We should keep in mind that a DMC has the best local knowledge, so we are convinced that its role is essential. But a DMC should also focus on out of the box ideas.
3. What do you enjoy most about meeting planning?
Challenges are a driving force in our business and every event is somehow different from the other. This is what I definitely enjoy most.
4. What would your readers be surprised to know about you?
We receive many unusual demands from the clients. One of them that stands out was to count the number of stairs to a fortress and advise a width and a hight of them. We always do our best to fulfill our clients’ wishes. But despite our good will sometimes this is just not possible. For example, we weren’t able to organize a boat trip from Zagreb to Split and we couldn’t offer sea view rooms in Ljubljana :).
