In the light of COVID-19 crisis when Prague hotels are struggling to fill their rooms, Augustine, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Prague in Mala Strana decided to open its doors and welcome local healthcare and firefighter heroes to thank them for risking their lives every day to protect all of us. On July 27th Augustine hotel, together with Lidé Lidem foundation and Augustinian monastery, designed a program full of engaging activities and also time to relax and enjoy the tranquil Sundial garden of the hotel.
Over 100 firefighters and healthcare professionals from Prague hospitals Na Františku, Bulovka, Vinohradská and fire station from Prague Castle attended the event. The guests had the opportunity to join monastery tour with father Juan, enjoy the dance performance by artists who performed in the Lide lidem project – first ballet soloist of National Theatre Nikola Márová accompanied by pianist Jan Mára and cellist Filip Halečka and acrobatic duo by Kristýna Stránska and Martina Illichová. Guests took an epicurean journey of Augustine and enjoyed signature St. Thomas beer together with St.Thomas sausages.
Lide lidem foundation was created during the COVID-19 crises to support affected people in an original and artistic way. The open door event at Augustine hotel was also a launch of charity photography sale. The sale is running online on www.lide-lidem.com and features photographs from the production of Thank you video that was extremely popular on social media channels. Funds collected during the sale will bring art exhibit to places, where there is often none, such as hospitals and senior homes.

Augustine hotel employees care and were extremely happy to be able to say thank you to the front line workers during the event.
